The advancements and technological innovations in electronics and communications field are spread to the areas such as VLSI, Embedded systems, Digital signal processing, commercial communications, medicine and defense. The department gives strong emphasis on fundamentals, so that the student is introduced to complex subjects in an interesting and easy manner. The Department imparts technical knowledge in the areas of Semiconductor devices, Design of analog and digital Electronic circuits, Communication engineering, Microwave engineering, Television engineering, Satellite communication, Optical communication, Computer organization and microprocessors and microcontrollers. The Department offers following full-time programs as per the curriculum of JNTUH, Hyderabad. Facilities 1. Electronic Devices & Circuits Laboratory 2. Microprocessors and Interfacing Laboratory 8. VLSI Laboratory 9. Microwave Engg. & Fibre Optics Lab Departmental R&D Centre Center for VLSI Design : 20 User Licensed Cadence tools are availabe. Research Projects will be carried out in digital VLSI, Gigabit rate Silicon Integrated circuits, Mixed signal Circuits. Centre for EMBEDDED SYSTEMS :With the Association of CELL TREE BIO LABS a research centre is established.
