The department of Computer Science and Engineering has started in ACE in the year 2007 with an intake of 60, with a goal of to be recognized as one of the most renowned departments in the country in terms of state of art laboratories, teaching excellence and best learning practices. And now the intake has increased to 120 in the year of 2010.

The department is headed by  Prof. K. Jaya Bharathi who is pursuing her Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad.   She is heading the department from past 4 years. Prof. K. Jaya Bharathi has got around 18 years of teaching experience and 2 years of research experience. Under her dynamic leadership, hard working, sincere efforts are being taken in the CSE department to improve the technical capabilities of both staff and students.

Despite its short history as a formal academic discipline, computer science has made a number of fundamental contributions to science and society like digital evolution, programming language, internet, and simulation. As a discipline, computer science spans a range of topics from theoretical studies of algorithms and the limits of computation to the practical issues of implementing computing systems in hardware and software. The design and deployment of computers and computer systems is generally considered the province of disciplines other than computer science. And , we the team of Computer science and engineering working to produce computer engineers who can communicate effectively, and engage in life-long learning, to remain current in their profession and be leaders in our technological society.

Our VISION is “To produce technically competent, socially committed and readily employable computer engineers by offering quality education and research”. To achieve this we are developing state of art laboratories and R&D facility, encouraging the students to participate in national workshops/conferences/symposiums and etc,. and also encouraging our students to present and publish research papers in national/ international conferences. And also department is having a technical association “CYBERNOTICS” through which seminars and workshops will be conducted in latest trends in the software industry. The department is having Computer Society of India membership for 300+students.

And we also trying to collaborate with foreign universities of academic excellence for reaching global standards in technical education. With these goals , the department is working to produce world class engineers who design and construct a hardware and software system, to meet desired needs, within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health & safety, manufacturability and sustainability.
