Important Assignments Handled:

• Designed centrifugal pumps of specific speed 30 rpm, 35 rpm and tested to verify the design condition and its performance range.

• Model was made for sump capacity of 35000 lpm. The flow distribution in the model was analyzed and model was studied by modifying for higher capacity 80000 lpm .All modifications are incorporated in the sump.

• Eight impellers were designed by varying different parameters for specific speed of 30 rpm .Tested results are analyzed to find the influence of each parameter. A new pump is designed on the basis of conclusions drawn from 8 impellers and is tested.

• Two vertical turbine pumps at specific speeds 53 rpm, 63 rpm are designed and tested.

• Designed a propeller pump for specific speed 208 rpm and the same is tested.

• Predicted velocity distribution in the vane passage for axial and radial pumps using method of singularity. Results are in agreement with the published results.

• Developed a program for prediction of NPSH. The predicted results are in agreement at design point with respect to tested one and differ by 3% from test results at off design point.

• Estimation of different losses to find the efficiency of turbo machine.

• In-charge in installation of heat transfer lab equipments for the development of lab, Mechanical Engineering Department, Vasavi College of Engineering, March to June 1988.

• Worked as coordinator between the center Vasavi College of Engineering and JNTU for conducting classes, correspondence-cum-contact courses (C.C.C) for B.Tech 1st year during July-August 1989 under C.D.E. program of JNTU, Hyderabad.
