Prof. Dr. V. Buchaiah graduated in Mechanical Engineering from University College of Engineering, Osmania University, in the year 1974.

He obtained Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Hydraulic Turbo-Machines from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in the year 1976 and subsequently joined as Assistant Development Engineer at Jyoti Limited, Baroda.

He was elevated to the post of Development Engineer in the year 1981. He developed computer programs for the design and analysis of variety of pumps using CAM, CAD, and Tools.

He designed sump for testing Pumps and Turbines and tested several varieties of pumps. Further he was elevated to the post of Research Engineer in the year 1984. Later he joined as Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering department in the year 1987 in Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad.

He attended and presented technical papers at various National and International conferences. He also guided several projects of under graduate students and motivated them for R&D projects.

He obtained Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2001 from Osmania University. He was the Principal of Avanthi Scientific Technological Research Academy for about a year. He has assigned charge as principal ACE engineering college w.e.f 19-10-2011.
