General Rules: 1. Silence shall be observed strictly in the Library. 2. All the students shall produce their identity card at the entrance. 3. All the students shall sign in the gate register at the entrance of the Library. 4. Personal books, files, lab coat/apron and articles will be allowed inside the Library. The students are requested to take care of their belongings. 5. Before entering in to the library students should switch off the cell phones. Book Issue Rules: All the students can obtain their library borrowing tickets on production of ID card issued by the college .The number of borrowing tickets issued to the students is as follows. B. Tech: I/IV, II/IV, III/IV year students 2 borrowing tickets IV/IV year students 3 borrowing tickets MCA: I/III, II/III year students 3 borrowing tickets III/III year students 4 borrowing tickets - Borrowing tickets are not transferable.
- Members are responsible for all books borrowed against their tickets
- Students are to produce their ID card at the time of borrowing tickets
- Books other than reference books will be issued to student member on loan for a period of 14 days.
- Reference books will not be issued; but are available for study within the Library.
- Tearing of sheets from books and newspapers is strictly prohibited and is punishable.
- Members must satisfy themselves whether the books are in good condition, before they leave the counter. If any damage is noticed, the same must be immediately intimated. Otherwise they will be held responsible for any damage.
Fine amount rules: - Incase of default in the return of books, Rs.1/- per day per book will be levied for the first 7 days, Rs. 2/- per day per book will levied for the next 15 days and afterwards Rs.5/- per day per book will be levied as overdue charges. Incase of default in the return of CD-ROM, Rs.5/- per day will be levied. All holidays will be included in arriving at the number of days of overdue.
- Loss of borrowing cards and books should be reported to Librarian immediately.
- Duplicate tickets will be issued on payment of Rs.100/- per ticket.
- In the event of any book being lost, it shall be replaced by another copy by the concerned and overdue charges will be levied. In case the borrower is unable to replace, twice the cost of book and overdue charges, if any, will be levied from the borrower.
- Final year students should return all the books and surrender library borrowing tickets on completion of the course and obtain “No Dues Certificate”.
