BE Projects & ME Theses Guided:

Number of BE Projects Guided 25
Number of ME Thesis Works Guided   9

Currently working in the following research projects:

  • Speculative locking protocols for processing read-only transactions in a distributed database environment.

The aim of this project to come up with speculative locking protocols for processing ROTs.The proposed protocols improve the performance without compromising     correctness and data currency issues.

  • Development of scalable and cost effective storage server for eSagu

The aim of this project is to develop a cost effective and scalable storage server for eSagu.
  1. A prototype has been built with NFS.Currently, performance testing is being carried out.
  2. One more effort is going on to implement the same with Mogile DFS.
  3. Using “Hadoop”, we also try to build back-up sehistorical data of “eSagu”.
  • Speculative processing in distributed file system

The aim of this project is to come up with speculative approach for distributed file system which follows  “client-side caching” mechanism for improving the performance of read access.
