Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of ACE Engineering College was established in June 2016 with the objective of catalysing quality initiatives and enhancing institutional processes. The IQAC ensures the sustenance and continuous improvement of internal systems through the implementation of structured quality measurement tools and techniques.

At ACE Engineering College, the IQAC operates under an integrated and agile framework, comprising coordinators responsible for Quality Initiatives and Enhancement, Quality Sustenance, Quality Measurement, and Quality Assurance. The cell is chaired by the Principal, Dr. B.L. Raju, the IQAC Committee represents all key stakeholders of the institution, including students, alumni, heads of all academic departments and administrative sections, members of the management and administration, as well as representatives from the local community and industry experts. This diverse composition ensures a holistic approach to quality enhancement and institutional development.

Vision

To establish a culture of quality as a fundamental priority of the institution by institutionalizing and internalizing all initiatives undertaken with internal and external support.

Mission

  • To develop a structured system that fosters conscious, consistent, and catalytic actions for improving the academic, administrative, research, innovation, and outreach performance of the institution.
  • To implement measures that ensure institutional functioning aligns with quality sustenance and enhancement through the internalization of a quality culture and the institutionalization of best practices.
  • To maintain a robust quality assurance system through continuous analysis and assessment of various performance metrics.

Objectives

To achieve quality sustenance and enhancement, the IQAC shall develop mechanisms and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient, and progressive execution of academic, administrative, and financial responsibilities.
  • Maintaining the relevance and excellence of academic and research programs.
  • Ensuring equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for diverse societal sections.
  • Optimizing and integrating modern teaching and learning methodologies.
  • Upholding the credibility and transparency of evaluation procedures.
  • Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance, and effective functioning of institutional support structures and services.
  • Facilitating research collaboration and networking with institutions across India and abroad.

Functions

The primary functions of the IQAC include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing quality benchmarks and parameters for various academic and administrative activities.
  • Disseminating information on quality standards and best practices in higher education.
  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences on quality-related themes and promoting the formation of quality circles.
  • Documenting institutional programs and activities that contribute to quality improvement.
  • Serving as the nodal agency for all quality-related activities within the institution.
  • Preparing the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for submission to NAAC in alignment with established quality parameters.
