Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting Report – 26th August 2025

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) successfully organized the Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting on 26th August 2025 to review and enhance the academic curriculum in line with the latest technological advancements and industry requirements.
The meeting was attended by internal faculty members, subject experts from reputed academic institutions, industry professionals, alumni, and university nominees. The agenda included the review of the existing curriculum, introduction of new courses, revision of course outcomes, incorporation of emerging technologies such as VLSI, Semiconductor Technology, Embedded Systems, IoT and strengthening industry-oriented learning.
The Board members discussed strategies to improve academic quality through value-added courses, skill development programs, industrial visits, internships, project-based learning, and research initiatives. Suggestions were also made to align the curriculum with NEP guidelines, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and the evolving needs of the semiconductor and electronics industries.
The meeting concluded with valuable recommendations from the Board members, which will contribute to enhancing the quality of the ECE program and preparing students for higher education, research, and successful careers in the electronics and communication industry. The Department expressed its gratitude to all the Board members for their valuable suggestions and active participation in making the meeting a success.
