The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) organized an industrial visit for the IV B.Tech students to the Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Balanagar, Hyderabad, on 25th June 2026.
The visit was aimed at providing students with practical exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies, VLSI design methodologies, and industry-oriented design tools. During the visit, students received hands-on exposure to industry-standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, including Cadence Genus for logic synthesis and Cadence Innovus for physical design and implementation. Experts from CITD demonstrated the complete VLSI design flow, covering RTL synthesis, floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing analysis, and design optimization. The students also gained insights into CAD/CAM, CNC machining, product design, automation, and precision engineering.
The industrial visit enabled students to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, enhancing their technical knowledge, industry readiness, and understanding of modern semiconductor and VLSI design practices
