"Report on Technical Fest"

Title of the Event:  URJA- Enlighten, Empower, Energize
Held on: 20th -21st December 2024
Coordinators: Ms. G. V. Swathi, Asst. Professor
Convener: Dr. M. Prasad, Assoc. Professor, HOD-EEE

A Technical Fest on“URJA- Enlighten, Empower, Energize”,was held at the Department of Electrical &Electronics Engineering of ACE Engineering College from 20th December to 21st December2023.The name "Urja," meaning energy, aptly captures the essence of this event.

The motive of this event is to develop various skills of students in Co-Curricular activities and to expose them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields. URJA, announces several innovative events.

The Technical Festwas attended by around146students from I, II, III, IV EEE of ACE Engineering College.

URJA includes various events like

Under Technical:

  • Technical Quiz
  • Treasure Hunt
  • Circuit Design Contest
  • Escape Room

Under Cultural:

  • Reels Contest
  • Dance Performances
  • Instrumental Music

Inagural Session:

The inauguration took place on 20th December, 2024 at Ramaiah Auditorium. The function started with a prayer, followed by an inspirational speech by Dr. Miska Prasad, Associate Professor HOD EEE, Dr. S Mani Kuchibhatla,Associate Professor, EEE, Mr. M. Rajashekar Associate Professor, EEE and Ms. G. Rajitha, Assistant Professor, EEE. The detailed schedule and participation guidelines of each event were then announced by Ms. G.V. Swathi, Assistant Professor, EEE.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS:

Day 1 (20/12/2024)

Session I:

The morning session of our technical fest commenced with an exciting Technical Quiz event, which witnessed a remarkable participation of 56 registered students. The contestants were divided into 14 teams of three members each. A screening round featuring rapid-fire questions was then conducted, from which the top five teams were selected to advance to the next round of the quiz competition. The event is designed to challenge the participants' understanding of technical concepts, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking skills.

Session II:

Treasure Hunt

The afternoon session started with Treasure hunt. Treasure Hunt, the idea of hunting for hidden treasures has always been exciting and adventurous. Each team was given a certain number of clues. Each clue corresponded to a location on campus. Teams had to figure out these clues to get to the next one. The response to the competition was overwhelming. More than 60 students participated. The winning teams were rewarded with exciting prizes.

 Circuit Design Contest:

The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to gain hands-on practical experience, while applying engineering theories studied in the classroom. In addition, students learn the art of management and teamwork, which are essential skills required in the ‘real-world’. These student teams are required to build a circuit for given problem. A total of 8 teams with a team size of 5 participated in the event. The participants were provided with a problem statement. 20 minutes were given to solve the circuit and get the analytical outputs. After that amongst participants first, second and third winners were judged by experts.

 Day 2 (21/12/2024)

Session I:

Day 2 started with Escape room. An escape room is an interactive entertainment experience where a group of players work together to solve a series of puzzles and challenges within a set time limit to "escape" from a themed room, requiring critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills to succeed. 10 Team of 5 people are placed in a themed room with various puzzles and problem statement.

Session II:

Session two featured a diverse range of events that enriched the cultural festival. The solo dance competition showcased individual talents and creativity. The group dance highlighted collective talent and coordination, adding a vibrant and energetic element to the festival. The students mesmerized the audience with their enchanting musical performances, skillfully playing instruments such as the flute, and showcasing their exceptional talent. Alumni Meet 2023-2024

The Alumni meet for our ACE Engineering College was held on 23rd December 2023 for the students of 2007-2011 to 2019-2023 Batches. Conducting Alumni Meet is really very good thought and from the EEE Department we communicated to all the ACE EEE students by different ways like through Phone calls, Invitations Mails through official mail, WhatsApp groups and so on. It was really a wonderful meet in which most of passed out students are attended this meet.

At 10.30 AM, along with the Chief guest Shri.Nagarjuna Malladi, Vice President Tech. Mahendra, General Secretry Prof.Y.V.Gopala Krishna Murthy garu, JS Ms.M.Padmavathi Madam, Principal Dr.B.L.Raju sir all Department HODs and All Alumni students were escorted with the ACE NSS Team and reached the Auditorium. With Prayer song, Lamp Lighting was done with all the dignitaries then followed by speeches of Principal Dr.B.L.Raju sir, Prof.Y.V.Gopala Krishna Murthy garu, JS Ms.M.Padmavathi. The Speeches are very much Motivational and inspiring too. After that a photo session with all respective Branch alumni students with the Dignitaries is completed followed by Lunch.

At 2.45 PM all EEE Branch students assembled in Room No.1004. Dr.S Mani.Kuchibhatla, HOD EEE addressed all the EEE Alumni students. Alumni were invited to share their views and experiences. After that we had a photo session with EEE Alumni batch wise followed by department visit and refreshments are distributed to the Alumni students. Simultaneously ACE Alumni Association Elections were done in Auditorium followed by inauguration of Alumni cell in the Block A ground floor.

Finally, all alumni did enjoy in participating in DJ, felt happy and recollected their memories. Definitely this alumni meet creates a strong connectivity with the ACE EEE Alumni. Hope this will surely contribute in the development of the EEE department in future. Here with Schedule and some photos are attached.
